FINALS!

Benchwarmers and Fury met again to fight it out for the premiership for Women’s B 2012/2013 senior’s basketball. It was another close game with both sides fighting hard to get the points on the board. At half time Benchwarmers were leading 12 to 7. This only caused Fury to fire up, Renee Manning fighting the hardest to come out fighting. Fury were able to convert the points on the scoreboard but left them short by 3. Benchwarmers winning 20 to 17.

 Sonics had another win over Kella, keeping their streak going with final score of 27 to 13. Best Players went to Brooke Cragan, Zoe Burns and Krista Arthur.

Mystics and Patriots went head to head with Mystics having a comfortable win 22 to 13. Best players were rewarded to Asha Carr, Erin Keamy and Toni Ray Burns.

Jillaroos unfortunately had to forfeit their game against Burra this week.

Fury had a comfortable win over Jesters, 31 to 13. Best players went to Kat White, Keish Hunter and Claire Stevens.

Benchwarmers kept their top position by defeating Fusions 33 to 19. Bets players went to Kristy Cooper, Vanessa Morris and Kylah Bertolini

Please ensure fill in fees are paid prior to the game and that you are taking note of when your team is umpiring both senior and under 16s games... We still have people not attending umpiring duties.

Thursday 13th December

In the women’s the Jillaroos beat the Benchwarmers 38 to 24 best players were Rose Anderson, Courtney Haines and Kath Brown. The Fury beat the Jesters 30 to 20 with the best players being Kat White, Claire Stevens and Michelle Price.

Sonic still remain unbeaten with a comfortable win over the Patriots 58 to 14 best players were Brooke Cragan, Zoe Burns and Leane Fitzgerald. The Mystics easily beat the Sapphires 32 to 10 best players were Asha Hooper, Erin Keamy and Maddy Crook.

In the Women’s saw Burra beating Fury 49 to 22 best players were Sophie Alderton, Kat White and Beth Antonio. Mystics beat Kella 32 to 20 best players were Erin Keamy,  Marlene McIntosh and Zane Saunders. Sapphires lost to the Patriots 25 to 14 best players were Sheridan Carlson, Toni Burns and Sophie Hosken.

Fusions and Benchwarmers had a close game with Benchwarmers winning 22 to 20 best players were Kristy Cooper, Lisa Hammond and Kylah Bertolini. Sonics beat the Jillaroos 34 to 15 with best players being Zoe Burns, Shelly Lombardini and Tosha Harrison.

Thursday 29th November

Last Thursday we saw Kella and Patriots go head to head with Kella winning 22 to 15 the better players were Tegan Pascoe, Chelsea Doncon and Kylie Howard. Sonics continued there good form with a comfortable win 47 to 8 over the Fusions best players were Brooke Crogan, Nicole Newton and Jayne Smith.  Burra were too strong for the Jesters thrashing them 56 to 10 Better players were Sophie Alderton, Louise Davies and Claire Stevens.

In another very one sided game the Jillaroos beat the Sapphires 54 to 16 the best players were Sally Trunfio, Dani Trunfio and Rose Anderson. In the Closet game of the night saw Benchwarmers win by 1 point over the Fury 30 to 29 best players were Kristy Cooper, Michelle Price and Kylah Bertolini.

Thursday 22nd November

Jesters and Benchwarmers play with the Benchwarmers winning convincingly 43 to 21 it is good to see that there is a young ladies team entering the competition this year. Best players were Keryn Atkins, Emily Drakeford and Kristy Cooper. The Mystics have continued there good form with a 35 to 29 win over the Patriots with Sheridan Carlson picking up the 3 votes. Other vote getters were Erin Keamy and Zane Saunders.

Kella and Jillaroos went head to head with Kella being too strong and winning 29 to 25 the better players were Marleena Mcintosh, Sally Trunfio and Chealsie Doncon. In what was the game of the night for women’s basketball saw sapphires and Fusions battle it out with fusions winning by 1 point 18 to 17, Jayne Smith led the votes with Maddy  Crook and Vanessa Morris picking up the reminder votes.  The Sonics played the Fury and Smashed them 48 to 16, the Sonics look to be the team to beat in the women’s comp, the better players were Zoe Burns, Nic Newton and Michelle Price.

In the women’s competition saw Burra take on Benchwarmers with Burra winning 31 to 22 the best players were Kristy Cooper, Sophie Alderton and Narelle Gardiner. In the closet game of the night saw Mystics beat Jillaroos by 1 point scores were 30 to 29 and best players were Sue Kerse, Chevie Green and Erin Keamy.

Fury took on Sapphires and won 27 to 6 with best players being Keisha Hunter, Chantelle Crook and Maddy Crook. Kella took on Fusions and won 20 to 8 with the best player being Marlena Mcintosh, Venessa Morris and Chelsie Doncon.

In the last game for the night for the women saw the Sonics thrash the Jesters 48 to 6 best players were Tara Ryan, Nicole Newton and Tosha Harrison.

It was a close game in the womens with Patriots winning aginst Fury in over time by 2 points! Final score 32 to 30. Best players R.Manning, S. Carlson and K. Howard

Mystics got their first win of the season against Jesters, 40 to 6. Best players E. Keamy, A. Carr and C. Stevens

Burra kept their winning streak going, beating Kella 29 to 10. Best players A. Alvaro, M. McIntosh and S. Alderton

Benchwarmers had a win against Sapphires 23 to 17. Best Players S. Browning, K. Verbaksel and K. Atkins

Jillaroos had a win due to a forfeit by Fusions.

Thursday 25th October

In the women’s saw Patriots beating Jesters 26 to 18 with the best players being Kylie Howard, Claire Stevens and Tony Burnes. The Jillaroos took on the Fury and beat them comfortably 27 to 10 best players were Rose Anderson, Judy Jefferys and Renee Manning.

Kella took on the Benchwarmers and won 14 to 25, best players were Tegan Pascoe, Kristy Cooper and Sam Griffiths. The Sonics and Sapphires went head to head in a very one sided game with Sonics winning 44 to 11 the best players were Tara Ryan, Brooke Cragan and Sophie Hosken. In the closest game of the night was between Mystics and Burra with Burra just getting over the top 18 to 14 best players were Amanda Swarts, Erin Keamy and Louise Davies.

In the Women’s saw a close game between Benchwarmers and Mystics with Benchwarmers winning 29 to 28. Best Players Kylah Bertolini, Erin Keamy and Kerryn Atkins. The Fusions took on the Fury which was won by the Fury 24 to 16. Best players were Kat White, Vanessa Morris and Michelle Price.

In another close game for the night was Patriots and Burra with Burra getting the win 23 to 20. Best players were Louise Davis, Toni-Rae Burns, Beth Antonio. In what was a very one sided game saw the Jillaroos beat the Jesters 54 to 17 Best players were Sally Trunfio, Kathy Beilken, Emily Drakeford.

The last game for the night was between Sonics and Keller with Sonics comfortably beating Keller 41 to 13 the best players were Zoe Burns, Tara Ryan, Marleena McIntosh.
